Two days event: workshop on Information and Communication Technology thumb_224.jpg(joint workshop for GA NGO representatives from B&H, Montenegro, and Serbia), and Action Planning (relevant for GA NGO representatives from Montenegro and Serbia) will take place in Tivat (Montenegro) on 10-12 of April.

Representatives of NGOs from Montenegro, Bosnia&Herzegovina and Serbia will be present as well as local coordinators.

From Milieukontakt Sofiya Lukyanchuk and Chris van den Sanden will be present.

In line with the WATER as an issue in the most of the working groups of the Green Agenda process in the Western Balkan countries, seminar on EU Water Framework Directive and planning the actions take place in the city of Shkodra, Republic of Albania.

Rugova Community First Stakeholder MeetingKosovo’s First GuidebookRugova Community identifies its Values (Vlerat)
On 10 March 2008, over 55 Rugova community stakeholders met together for the first time with NGO ERA group to identify their community’s values and to form Rugova Community identifies its Values (Vlerat)Rugova Community identifies its Values (Vlerat)working groups as part of the Green Agenda process in Kosovo.  The participants welcomed the Green Agenda process in their community, and remarked that this is the first time in their history that the Rugova community has been asked collectively to be a part of any strategic process.  By the end of the First Stakeholder Meeting, the participants had integrated each and every value identified into four specific working groups.  This meeting was covered by the TV, radio and newspaper correspondents.

The Rugova Community is made up of 13 villages in Western Kosovo (Peja Municipality) on the border with Montenegro.  This rural mountainous region is characterized by a steep gorge with a river running through it, and high biodiversity.  It currently a focal point for a future trans-boundary protected area between Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania.

On 16 of March the first activity of the Eco toursim working group in the frame f Green Agenda in Bitola was implemented on the place known as “Sveta Troica”. This activity shows the interest of the citizens to take action and to be involved in simmilar activities.

It was wonderful sunny, spring working day.

WORKING GROUP: RESTORATION OF THE EXCURSIONS PLACES NEAR BITOLA AND PROMOTION OF THE ECO TOURSIM

Working group for eco tourism start with the first activities. In order to provide equipment for piknik places nearby Bitola Ministry for defence was addressed. Donation from the Ministry for defence is in chairs, tables, treshcans, benches and other equipment. Financial value of the donation is approximately 1 500 EUR.

This Sunday, 16 of March first small project will be implemented for cleaning the walking track from antic city Heracleja Lynketis to the piknik place near the Church “Sveta Troica”.

TV PRESENTATION OF THE GREEN AGENDA

Local media as a partner in Green Agenda activly support all process and activities. Neshad Azemovski on 12 of March give an interview. The work of the water and sanitation working group was pointed as very important because of the forthcomming extreamly hot months of the summer and non proper usage of the water without respect for the importance of this natural resource in Bitola.

Members of the Working Group for building educational centre for sustainable development, Nikolce Pejkovski has designed logo for Green Agenda Bitola. The logo is accepted by all working groups and it will be official logo of teh Green Agenda process in Bitola.

GREEN AGENDA AND TREE DAY IN BITOLA

Members of the working groups in cooperation with Biosfera, plant more then 50 Green Agenda trees. It was very nice and very big event in Macedonia where Green Agenda was presented trough the working groups.

Green Agenda Macedonia join the Tree Day campaign in Macedonia. More then 2 milion trees will be planted in all over Macedonia on 12 of March.

This will be possibility to promote Green Agenda Network in Macedonia and in the same time to contribute in greening Macedonia.
