On 02.03.2011 in the premises of the municipality of Gracanica a Memorandum of Understanding between the Municipal Gracanica and 3E Institute on implementation of the Project Green Agenda in Gracanica was signed.
With this act officially begin the process of Green Agenda in Gracanica – municipality that emerged as a result of the decentralization process in Kosovo. Thanks to the leadership of new municipalities led by Mayor Mr. Bojan Stojanovic and 3E Institute’s initiative, the Gracanica municipality will become a unique example of environment care, quality of living and it will move closer to EU standards.
Green Agenda is the process of creation and implementation strategies and plans for sustainable development at the local level, with the active participation of different community sectors, in accordance with existing national, regional and local strategies / sustainable development plans.
Process is initiated and will be implemented by local civil society organizations with other stakeholders. In Gracanica communitie, we will form working groups which will include representatives of all stakeholders (citizens, farmers, private entrepreneurs, local authorities, etc.).
Working Groups, through a series of meetings and consultations with public, will define a local strategy for sustainable development; merge all strategies, thematically different among several working groups in the community.
Upon approval by the local authorities, defined strategy becomes a part of the local development policy.

On Thursday 3 December 2009 to Pristina held national platform conference Green Agenda in Kosovo.
At the conference attended by the whole Kosovo environmental NGOs, representatives from the ministry of environment and spatial planning, environmental officials from most of Kosovo Municipalities, REC, the Dutch embassy in Kosovo, Milieukontakt, and environmental experts form Kosovo.
The conference was presented the Green Agenda process in Kosovo where three NGOs together with their working groups presented their achievements. The nacional platform conference Green Agenda finished work very successfully and soon the Green Agenda process will be extended in other municipalities of Kosovo.
